LC Curtain Club stages two one act plays The Devil Comes to Alcaraz and Sorry Wrong Number now in rehearsal for a Nov 17 8 15 pm performance. The Devil tale features Casilda Dona Josefa and Old Nick in a Spanish village with cast including Cissie Chambers Jeanne Anderson Kim McDaniel Betty Warner Patsy Matthews Jimmy Johnson Johnny Chandler Philip McKwain John Eby Terry Erwin. Sorry Wrong Number centers on a pampered invalid Judy Davis who overhears a murder plot with help from operators Betty Warner Jeanne Anderson Kim McDaniel Fatsy Matthews Johnny Chandler and Terry Erwin.

Yearbook staff refine Personalities section and layout
Students at a special Saturday meeting completed half of the ad section for the yearbook. In recent Wednesday meetings changes in candidate selection for Personalities and in one Personality title were discussed. Best All-Around Sophomore was suggested to replace Most Representative Student. Space allotments and division page patterns were decided.
Campus Groups Complete Organization
Delta chapter of a national honorary art fraternity lists Estella Tomek as outgoing president and Minnie Alice Robertson as acting secretary. BSU officers for the year include Calvin Parrish president Tommy Monk first vice-president Jimmy Crawford second vice-president and Sylvia Lyles secretary-treasurer. Von Elms is chap der and Sylvia Patterson pianist. BSU November meeting will be at Central Baptist Church with Women’s Missionary Union refreshments. French Club officers are Gwen Epperson president Dorothy Goyen secretary Jima Jones treasurer. A Christmas party is planned with French songs for the Christmas assembly. A soiree in spring features speeches and a French play. Curtain Club sponsored by Mrs O’Hagan presents one act plays in fall and a full-length production in spring. Members will attend plays at Alley Theatre Playhouse and Theatre Inc in Houston. Curtain Club officers Judy Davis president Kim McDaniel vice president Cissy Chambers secretary-treasurer. Girls’ athletic club organizational meeting will be held in the gym.
