Lee College Bond Election Urges Yes For Growth
The May 14 bond election seeks financing to expand Lee College as enrollment rises. Proposition One would raise tax authority for maintenance and operation to prevent program cuts. Proposition Two funds an Academic Classroom Building and labs with a $2.10 yearly tax on a $15,000 home. The plan includes a $407,000 grant from the 1963 Higher Education Facilities Act, if used by August 10.
