Former Lee College student Donald Dial, now ARX associate editor, promotes the Austin based literary magazine in Baytown. ARX publishes work from unpaid contributors with rights reserved to authors and seeks regional editors to submit 500 word essays for each issue.
John Busby delivers a scene stealing turn as Harry Berlin a neurotic man who in the opening acts contemplates death and blindness while a classmate rescues him from a river. Milt and Ellen play their parts to balance the comedy as the plot twists toward an uneasy marriage and a moral dilemma. Tickets cost 1 and remain available at the Lee College auditorium.
Baytown high school students organized by Carl Young formed the DEAL group to meet in a Christian setting. They carpooled to a Beaumont Crusade where evangelist Dr Haggi spoke. Carl Young spoke briefly to the crowd. The group plans to meet Monday at 7 00 PM at the Civic Center for interested students.

Student Government announces the Confederate Ball this Saturday March 16 from 8 to 12 at the Baytown Civic Center. Student Council sells tickets and invites helpers for decorating at 9 AM. The group also reviews student suggestions, including a coin change machine, coffee and hot chocolate machines, and faculty parking spaces, with a suggestion box to be installed.
Men from six area companies join a one-semester Technical-Vocational course in Effective Supervision at Lee College. The group averages 39 years old with over three years supervising experience. Instructor R W Spencer says the class analyzes real cases from manufacturing, processing and communications, focusing on problem solving and communication.
The Young Democratic Clubs of Texas approved a resolution praising Johnson's Vietnam diplomacy while seeking meaningful reforms in South Vietnam. The UT Austin delegation supported an opposing measure, and Lee College delegates backed the main resolution, with over 300 votes in favor overall.

Charles H. Hudson Jr of the Internal Revenue Service in Baytown Texas explains tax filing rules for students. A student earning 600 or more in 1967 must file a return even if claimed as a dependent. Students with less than 600 and taxes withheld should file to reclaim refunds, usually via Form 1040A. A single student should claim one exemption for himself. In Texas community property estates, husband and wife income is split. married students must file separate returns for parents to claim them as dependents.
The Lee College School of Vocational Nursing held its graduation and capping ceremony on Friday March 1 1968. Fifteen graduates will take July state board exams to become Licensed Vocational Nurses after passing. Names include Ann Boehme Maree Foshee Estila Gammage Mary Louise Guy Virginia Huckaby Marion Jackson Carol Ann Loy Mary Alice Martin Virginia L Naismith Mary Katherine Poor Blanche Quartz Ursula Wade Mamie Taylor Dorothy Wade and Mamie Wright. A 24-student classroom graduate began clinical practice March 11 with coordinator Mamie Lea Reader R N assisted by Carmen O’Neal R N Margaret Sterlings R N and Diane McCage R N. A new LVN class starts March 29.
