Moody Center Dedication Ceremony Held Last Week
The Moody Center officially opened on February 23 with a dedication in the Lee College auditorium. The project began when Lee College applied for a $73,000 Moody Foundation grant in 1967 to remodel the old student union space into administrative offices.

Gladys Ellis Weds Former Student in Baytown Union
Gladys Burrows Ellis married Joe L. Irwin last Friday at St. John's Methodist Church at 7 30 p m. Irwin a WWII veteran and Lubrizol production sectional superintendent, from Oklahoma, had not seen Ellis in 23 years. They honeymoon ten days in Mexico City and will live in Whitehall Apartments Baytown. Becky Irwin, 11, is his daughter from a prior marriage and attends Horace Mann School.
