The Circle K Club met February 16 at the Rebel Inn with tape from the Kiwanis Club. Lee College faculty nominees for teacher of the year are Mrs. Lynn O’Hagan and Mr. Clarence Schultz with a San Antonio selection on February 23. Gamma Phi Kappa plans a March 17 dinner dance at the Ram’s Club in Houston. Rho Epsilon Beta held its initiation February 22 at Smith Point. The Romans of Lee College held their first meeting. Lee College hosted prospective high school seniors from Baytown Channelview Crosby Barbers Hill Dayton Anahuac La Porte Deer Park Galena Park and Pasadena on February 26 1962. The night ran 6 to 10 30 pm with registration social hour in the cafeteria then tours by Rebel Ranglers to view campus facilities and departmental exhibits in Physics Biology Chemistry Art and Business Administration.

Library volunteers sought for new building move
Readers are asked to contact librarians to sign up for service in the move to the new library building. The library will be closed until March 8.
Students Begin Moving Books to New Library
Last Thursday at noon the east wing of the liberal arts building closed and students from Circle K and Rebel Ranglers moved about 30 000 volumes to the new library site. Nearly 500 new books have arrived and will be usable by March 20 while furniture arrival, especially tables, remains pending.

Meet the Faculty Samuel Price: Educator From Rogersville Roots
Portrait of Samuel Paul Price born June 28 1922 on a farm near Rogersville Tennessee. He trained at Tusculum Carson Newman and George Peabody Colleges earning BA and MA in Secondary Education Biology and Social Science. After teaching in Arkansas Missouri he joined Lee College now in sixth year. He pursued teaching after Navy service and a stint toward pharmacy. He cites Peabody mentors as key influence and champions teaching as varied and challenging. He is married to a nurse with two children Cynthia Louise and Samuel Price Jr both Bay ton natives. He dislikes hobbies and prefers varied classroom life over a single obsession.

Choir Sings For Senior Day At College
The College Choir led by Charles Stephenson performed for Senior Day at the college. They previously sang last semester at Robert E. Lee High School. John Brasher was elected president for this semester, replacing James Harris.

Confederate Ball at Yacht Club Planned for April 6
Lee College announces the Confederate Ball at the Houston Yacht Club near La Porte on Friday April 6 from 8 to 12. Ballots for royalty nominations will be written and submitted in the Liberal Arts building by March 21. Election of King Queen Prince Princess occurs March 27 28 with eligible sophomores and freshmen. Tickets cost 3.00 per couple to fund club events.
