Seniors from area tour Lee College during annual Senior Day
High school seniors from Baytown Pasadena La Porte Texas City Deer Park Barbers Hill Crosby Channelview visited Lee College on Tuesday February 17 for a tour of art chemistry and physics exhibits. An evening basketball game against South Texas preceded a dance in the lounge with a floor show by local students and performers including Diana Davis Dodie Derryberry and Margaret Dutson.

Lee College Joins Federal Student Loan Plan
Lee College will participate in a federal loan program for college students. Loans up to 1000 dollars per year, 5000 dollars total, repayable in ten years after graduation. Forgiveness offered to teachers for the first five years. Applications open later with distribution by need and qualifications.

Dean Announces Class Dismissal Dates
Dean Walter Rundell says college classes will dismiss on Thursday March 5 and Friday March 6 to allow administrators and faculty to attend professional meetings in Fort Worth. The cafeteria will close for lunch on both days and regular classes resume the following Monday.
