Distinguished Scholars Of Fall Term Named
It has been announced that 35 students are named to the 1968 69 fall term Distinguished Scholars list. Top honors of 4.0 went to Cartner Cavanaugh Clinton Davis Eastham Maroney Skrabanek. Other GPA groups include 3.9 Corlis Sonnenberg and five at 3.8, followed by several at 3.7 3.6 and 3.5.

Fine Arts Film Keeps Rolling
The Fine Art Film Series opened with King and Country drawing 200 plus in attendance. The student run program, coordinated by Dale Adams and Mary Bloomfield with Sue Jones handling ads, plans The Pawnbroker on March 5 and The Doll on April 9, aiming for strong turnout.

Student Government Plans Spring Ball with Details
The Student Government plans the annual ball now called the Spring Ball. A date is pending but will be set soon. Tickets cost $3 per couple with Kaye Elliot and Susan Booth handling sales. Semi formal attire and entertainment are to be announced. Patty Langham and Billy Littlefield lead decoration efforts. Brenda Mc Farland and Randy Short plan refreshments.

Texas' Best Will Speak To Students
Mickey Herskowitz Houston Post executive sports editor will lecture for the Lyceum Program on February 26 at Lee College. He was chosen by the Lyceum Committee chaired by John C. Britt. Herskowitz earned a journalism degree from the University of Houston and has been Texas Sports Writer of the Year multiple times. A reception in the teachers lounge will follow the Lyceum program hosted by Student Government.
