Faculty To Attend TJCTA Meeting In Austin

Lee College faculty plan to attend the third annual Texas Junior College Teachers Association meeting in Austin on February 24 and 25. Students will miss Friday classes. speakers include Dr. Hubbard of Texas State College for Women and Dr. Calvert of the University of Texas.

Rev M S Jordan spoke on To think clearly without confusion at the Wesley Foundation regular supper hour meeting Friday. A varied lineup of speakers is planned for the next month and anyone interested is invited. Meetings are held each Thursday at supper hour.

Counseling lists for the second semester have been made, Mark W. Eakin, Registrar, announced. Students should note their counselors and seek advice on problems. If needed they may switch to another teacher as counselor. The lists include many named counselors and staff.

And Lee College Builds Modern Vocational Shops In Baytown

Six shops with latest equipment will form a new vocational unit at And Lee College Baytown, including auto mechanics mechanical drawing building trades general electric radio metal working and industrial training. The asbestos steel structure features radiant floor heating and a self supporting roof with movable partitions. Lockers showers and planned lighting support night courses as heavy machinery moves into metal work and welding units.
