The catalogue lists key dates: Feb 17 last day to register for credit. Apr 3 end of first nine weeks. Apr 4 Easter holiday. Apr 9 mid semester reports. Apr 21 San Jacinto Day. May 26–30 Dead Week. Jun 1 Baccalaureate Services. Jun 25 final exams. Jun 6 Commencement. The Confederate Ball date is pending. also all school picnic and senior breakfast occur in the last month.
Dean Walter Rundell was in Austin Monday and Tuesday for a meeting of school administrators. He planned to return to the college campus Wednesday morning.
Assistant Dean A H Miles reports spring semester violations of parking regulations have risen. Fines apply: first violation two dollars, second violation two dollars plus revocation of parking permit, and parking without a permit results in suspension from classes. Regulations limit parking to yellow lined areas and forbid reserved spaces, safety islands, and turn-around circles. Parking may occur on unpaved areas south of the lot when weather allows.
The fifth annual Senior Day at Lee College attracted about 95 high school visitors on Feb 10 1958. They toured the main building viewed classrooms the art gallery and labs while LC faculty member George Nelson demonstrated physics phenomena. Some seniors attended the basketball game where Lee Rebels defeated a San Antonio team followed by a campus floor show after refreshments.
Dean Walter Rundell releases the fall semester honor roll listing students with 2.6 GPA or higher and 15 hours or more. Honorable mention goes to part time students with straight A records including Glora Pearline James and Nora Lee Maxwell.
