The Lee Lantern is issued twice monthly during the school year by Lee Junior College's sophomore journalism class in Baytown Texas. Printed by Scardino Publishing Company in Houston Texas.
The Lee Lan Tern, a biweekly school publication, offers news, gossip, sketches, editorials, and sports. Readers can submit material via the Campus Comments box and pay the $2.00 Student Activity fee to support the paper.
LJC students elected a President Vice-President and Secretary to lead. So far only a gym dance with a magician is noted, but definite plans for a Christmas party exist with a band and decoration committees. Cooperation from the student body is urged to support the new officers.

A lively campus column from LJC highlights student antics in class, social events, fashion, and humor. Names like Jessie Lee King, Elois Schaffer, and Maurice Russell appear with friends, dates, and small-town adventures. It notes student jobs, wardrobe trends, and local outings with light gossip and playful jests.
A dated essay on punctuality in dates, dating etiquette and avoiding personal questions. The piece cites humorous anecdotes from college life and mentions holiday travels of several students, with inserts from campus papers.
Students and staff share small moments and captions from campus life. Norma Jean Bruggman waits for the bus while Peggy Koenig returns from her honeymoon as Peggy Opryshek.
