Two Year AFROTC Program Offered For Juniors
An Air Force officer team will be at the Student Center on December 9 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to explain and accept applications for the two year AFROTC program. The program allows junior college students to complete a bachelor’s degree at a four year college with ROTC to pursue an Air Force officer career. The AF notes the need for educated professionals across disciplines due to the aerospace era.

Folk Singer John Lomax Jr to Perform in Lyceum Series
John Lomax Jr a Texas born folk singer with a 1928 University of Texas BA will appear in the Lyceum series on Tuesday December 14. He helped found the Houston Folk Lore group in 1951 and chaired it 1960 to 1965. He also served as a Texas Folk Lore Society counselor in 1964 65 while working in homebuilding and land investing in Harris County.
