Committees Study LC Book Policy With Faculty and Dean Panels

New dormitory for hearing impaired students opens inBay Area
Gary Utley executive director of Bay Area Deaf Services and his wife Billie Marie an interpreter at Lee College have funded and opened a larger dorm for hearing impaired students. The new facility houses about 21 residents with separate male and female sections. Utley notes the program aims to teach life and job skills while fostering responsibility through chores and curfews. First in history Lee College to present Service Award
Lee College will award its first Service Appreciation Award for secretarial clerical staff. The 1:30 p.m. ceremony on November 7 in Rundell Hall Auditorium honors a full time employee with at least one year at the college. A plaque, corsage, reception, and luncheon follow.

Jazz Ensemble Plans Two November On Campus Shows
The Jazz Ensemble schedules two on campus concerts in November. The first runs 11 15 a m to 12 15 p m during the blood drive Nov 20 at Moser Hall. The second titled The LC Chamber Jazz Ensemble and Singers in Review begins at 7 30 p m Nov 21 at Moler Hall with Moler transformed into a nightclub seating audience at tables and refreshments served.
