Lee College votes for 1983 baseball program
Regents approve starting a baseball team for the 1983-84 academic year in the Texas Junior College Athletic Conference with up to $25,000 for operations and a coach. Home games to be played at Jenkins Field in Baytown. Community support expected. scholarships planned. Some trustees express campus needs and student body questions.

LC nursing instructor honors ADN graduates
Mary Thiel, LC nursing instructor, accepted a plaque from the Board of Regents at the October meeting honoring the achievement of the Associate Degree Nursing program graduates. All 18 members of the sixth ADN class passed the National Licensure Examination in Galveston. Thiel praised their memory work and noted most graduates work in Baytown. Mountain Visions Film Show At Moler Hall
Phillip Baird reports an award winning film program free at 11 a.m. December 8 in Moler Hall. The program divides into The Salmon River Odyssey Eclipse and Yellowstone Plateau shown on a 36 foot screen with multiple projectors. Eclipse earned a silver at the 1980 International Multi-Image Festival in Vail. Equinoxe by Jean Michel Jarre provides soundtrack. A dance follows at 8:30 p.m. December 17 at the Knights of Columbus Hall with admission of 1 dollar or two canned goods, donated to needy families.

Health room hosts peer support group at Moser Hall
The Student Support Services group opens a health room in Moser Hall offering peer support to LC students. Any student can talk or get information, with hours to be posted campus wide.
