Lee College enrollment up while state funding drops

Architect issue to be settled by regents
The Board of Regents will meet to decide which architect will design the science health care occupations facility and library expansion after two months of debate over local versus out of town contractors. Motorcycle Crash Injures Lee College Student
Drew Heyen, Lee College student, was seriously hurt early Nov. 9 when he lost control of his motorcycle at Gulf Street and Lee Drive. He was dumped 108 feet, then 10 feet from a curb. he underwent surgery, kidney removed, and was stabilized at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital. Police cited him for riding without a motorcycle endorsement.

College considers campus smoking policy changes

AIDS At Risk Seminar Warns Everyone To Get Tested
Local AIDS expert Dan Moreschi urged universal testing and self reflection on sexual behavior during the AIDS Are You At Risk seminar. He warned 80,000 known U.S. cases may be just 10 percent of those affected and emphasized safer and safe sex to reduce transmission.
