Library panel backs renovations over expansion plans
The Library Building Committee recommends altering original expansion plans funded by a 1.2 million bond. Focus shifts to renovations for storage, study space, and a multipurpose auditorium while removing the media center from the plan to free space. Asbestos removal remains a federal health requirement costing 600000, leaving 600000 insufficient for all proposed projects.
