News from Eatonton reports Prof Wi J Winn, a native of Savannah, was stabbed in Mariana Florida by a 12 year old pupil, the son of ex-Guy W Atkinson. The boy concealed a knife in his sleeve and struck near the heart, the blade causing a severe but non fatal wound. The physician says the escape from death was narrow.

In Garza Texas a cyclone levelled much of the town, with churches and stores destroyed and injuries reported. A giant whale measured at least 66 feet in length washed ashore at Conway near the Sea Shore railroad terminus drawing crowds. Reports note a harpoon and rope in its side, with speculation it was attacked by whaling crew. officials provided viewing to curious onlookers in Conway.

Houston May 5 At Buffalo Texas J W Miller was attacked by four Linson brothers. Miller killed WT Linson and J L Linson and wounded Edgar Linson. Eugene Linson retreated. Miller was not hurt. He was arrested and gave bond in 100 dollars.
London reports cholera worsening in India, with about 900 people in afflicted districts dying and famine misery intensifying. Despite hundreds of thousands in British gold, German marks, and American coins donated, relief appears insufficient as conditions deteriorate.
A man known as Walterts MOMS, a necro man, died in jail and a May 2 murder near Sanon is tied to a white man living locally. The unnamed county burial is planned for tomorrow.
