Troubles of Rev Barr Harris trial ends with guilty verdict
In Gallatin county the sensational State v J Barr Harris case concluded with a jury verdict finding Harris guilty after a lengthy trial. Miss Abbie Hardenbrook testified of repeated intimate conduct and gifts, while Harris denied any improper acts and pointed to letters as proof of his innocence. Sentenced to one year in the State penitentiary, Harris prepared to depart to Deer Lodge.
