A local sale advertises steep discounts on $300 tone tan vici and rassir calf shoes at 2.50, Craddock Terry & Co. line in tan and black at 2.25, plus extensive ladies misses and children footwear. The note promises rapid sellout, remaining stock to be cleared this week, and claims the retailer is conducting Lancaster’s largest millinery business to date.
The House passed the Littlefield anti trust bill amending the Sherman act with only one vote against it. Mann of Illinois opposed. Democratic minority amendments largely failed. The act broadens definitions to include agents and allows threefold damages and enforcement across federal courts. Final passage stood 273 to 1 with cheers.
