Incendiary Fire Kills Farmer and Horse in Anderson

A farm near Anderson lost an urn and two males plus a horse to a blaze last night. Estimated damage about 1000 dollars with 500 dollars insured. Authorities suspect incendiary origin. In Spartanburg a man shot and killed a woman in her home this afternoon. the suspect, Jafus Macomson, was arrested at the scene.

Lonnie C Myers Life Talk After Guilty Verdict

Lonnie C Myers spoke with the jailer after his murder conviction with a mercy recommendation. He reflected on the strain of trial, praised the fair handling of the case, and thanked his lawyers and the court. New York police announced that the body found in a bar near The Perret is believed to be Maddena Benedetto, 40, of Buffalo. A brother-in-law, Joseph de Prima, now in Sing Sing for counterfeiting, identified the murdered man and stated Benedetto had visited him on April 1. Several prisoners in a related case were examined in Ossining court while others claimed mutual innocence.
