Greenville reports indicate three major distilleries were destroyed along with fixtures, 8000 gallons of beer, mash, and 40 gallons of corn liquor. One man was captured in an early morning raid by Deputy Collector Aiken, Deputy Marshal Cooley, and constables Bell, Cooley, Whitmire, and Charles in the upper end of the county.
