A partisan plea urges wives to buy only union made goods to support their husbands and families. It argues that purchasing non union items funds workers distant from the employer and criticizes non unionists as weak. The caller promotes a lifestyle with better clothes, food, and schooling if union labor is supported.
H G Hunter, commissioner of the New York Metal Trades Association, told a Civic Federation meeting in Chicago that if he were a mechanic he would be a union man. He praised labor organization as the logical outcome of society and cited victories for mankind’s betterment, urging unity in the American heritage.
