At Denver Union Stock Yards on July 20 traders reported slow牛 activity due to softer markets east and feverish beef demand from the prior week. Cattle moved steadily with good steers 4.40 to 4.60, cows to 4.15, fair cows 2.50 to 3.15, and bulls 2 to 2.25. Hogs remained strong with prices up to 6.50 for fancy hogs, while sheep traded firm. lambs 6.40 to 6.50, ewes 4, and grass wethers 4.22 to 4.25. Romeo community dances and fishing trips noted
Romeo residents attended a Sunflower schoolhouse dance on Friday with many youths present. Mr. Montana plans a new house. The Guyman and Black families visited Mr. Carr on Sunday. Homer Neel and guests plan a mountain fishing trip next week. A small group including Emery, Jesse, Homer Crow, John and Herman Tullis, Florence and Florence Tullis fished in the mountains, returning Sunday evening with good catches.
