Man Fights Eagle to Save Baby After Ranch Near Plainview
In a Denver bound emergency, rancher Jack Simms of Plainview fought an attack by a swooping eagle on his three year old daughter. He barehanded the bird, tore off his coat to trap it, and finally captured the eagle in a hen coop. Doctors in Denver treated his torn shoulder and warned no amputation was needed.
