Two Cars Into River At Ferry Novelty Display
A runaway truck crashed through the Timmerman ferry and sank in the Columbia River taking a light car with it. No lives were lost but the truck driver sustained a broken back and is in critical condition at Pasco hospital. Neither vehicle nor contents recovered.

One Bid for Pasco Elko Air Mail Run Eight Cents Per Ounce

Portland liquor case ends with fine and disposal
Gus Jessberger paid a $100 fine in Justice Huntington's court for liquor possession after officers found about 70 gallons of wine and numerous beer bottles in his cellar. The police spilled the liquor on the soil behind the city hall.

The Blue Mountain Council Boy Scouts held its first Kennewick council rally in District No. 3 on September 12 drawing 300 scouts and leaders. Leaders Albert Haas and Leslie White organized the event with participants from Walla Walla Pendleton and other towns. Activities included river surf riding stunts, a twenty yard dash won by Bob Witherell, and a dressing race as the opening event with several troops competing.
