Five Brood Sows Start Skelton Hog Shipment to Seattle
One of the valley’s finest hog droves from C. E. Skelton near Finley shipped to Seattle Tuesday. The seven month old Duroc Jerseys weighed 190 to 200 pounds in prime condition. This brings Skelton’s total marketed hogs to fifty this season, with about a hundred more to come for October. The herd grows from five brood sows started last year.

Clarence Wehrley Suffered Severe Scald in Factory Accident
Mrs J H Gravensland learned from Mrs C H Wehrley of Forest Grove Ore that their eldest son Clarence Wehrley was severely scalded at a milk canning plant when a steam pipe burst striking him. He likely will lose use of his right arm though the can protected him. The Wehrleys are well known in Kennewick and have local sympathy.
