Insane Man Leads Officers On Long Chase Across Island
Two deputy sheriffs pursued Will Gray an ill man who had been living on an island in the Columbia River nine miles above Richland. Gray armed with a shotgun stalked a trapper and fled into the desert after being chased by Hanson Copeland and others. He claimed to have killed a man but was captured after a long pursuit and taken to Prosser for treatment.

Kennewick to Get New Cold Storage Plant Installations
The Kennewick marketing union and Yakima Valley Fruit Growers plan cold storage facilities to handle this year’s fruit crop.
