Kennewick prepares for big building year with new theatres
Work begins this week on four new business structures in Kennewick. J Murphy plans a theatre at the Tull corner with furnishings arriving, while F F Beste and B J Pinckney will build 25 by 100 foot brick fronts. Haydon Loyd will add a 50 by 100 foot two-storey complex, housing Kennewick Club recreation rooms and tenants.

Tax time arrives with due dates from January 1 to March 15. Exemptions remain 1000 for singles and 2000 for married or heads of families, plus 200 per dependent under 18. Normal rates are 4 percent on the first 4000 and 8 percent on the rest. Forms No 1040A and 1040 outline income types and deductions including charitable gifts and business expenses.
