Two Kennewick youths earned spots on the Washington State College wrestling squad this year and wrestled two opponents this week. Eric Waldorf faced Rosco Hall of Pasco in the 178 pound class and Phillip Hitchcock wrestled John King of Yelm in the 158 pound division. Under new college rules the match will use a single fall rather than two out of three.
The city health officer warns residents that Columbia fresh water for Kennewick and Highlands is badly contaminated due to seasonal deposits and shore wash. Interested farmers submit names and seed preferences to the Kennewick Commercial Club secretary for forwarding to Jones to arrange early spring planting and testing.
Stanley N. Randolph, formerly of Kennewick, has been promoted to manager of the Seattle branch of Missouri State Life Insurance. He joined the company in 1922 as agency special and progressed to assistant manager on June 9 1924, acting manager August 9 1924, and manager January 1 1925. His Kennewick ties include famed debate days and local friendships. J J Reed and son James returned from a ten day coast trip by auto visiting Tacoma Seattle Portland Montesano and other towns.
A New York estate worth two billion dollars draws attention as Mr. and Mrs. Gus Jesberger may receive a portion. The deceased, Mr. Edwards, was an uncle to Jessie Jesberger’s grandmother, linking the families. Relatives include Jap Scott and two brothers in Walla Walla, plus a sister there.
