On Sunday January 3 a rabbit drive will be held at the north end of the Burbank project where thicker rabbit numbers are reported. Hunters from Spokane Pasco Kennewick Walla Walla will be met at stations and guided to the drive area with finish near the old school house in section 36. Only shot guns allowed and ammunition available at Pence Hill store with coffee and sandwiches provided.

Horses Off to War Ship 850 Head to Jersey City
Eight hundred fifty horses were shipped yesterday afternoon by William Russell the French government agent after weeks of buying and inspecting. The lot includes cavalry and artillery horses and filled over 30 railroad cars bound for Jersey City New Jersey. Russell and French inspectors will continue shipments from the Iowa country until the war ends or supplies run out.
