Clark Taylor, back from Scott's Bluff Nebraska, visiting his parents. Frank Phlaber Mabton and Jesse Lampson with Ira Tuttle visited Lampson home for Christmas. Tuttle is Frank Lampson's father-in-law.
Distribution of 7290.48 from November tax collections was completed. Deputy treasurer Ray Gilcrest announced Tuesday sums paid to Prosser 1813.73 Kennewick 1604.70 Richland 42.22 the state 1825.22 and Yakima county 2004.61.
Kennewick chamber of commerce this noon endorsed a resolution urging state action against interference with transportation on highways especially for farm produce. The resolution asked state and national officials to enforce open highway laws, condemned widespread picketing, and urged peaceful enforcement by labor and capital. It did not abridge the right to collective bargaining and was endorsed upon motion.

A wedding dinner for seven followed at the bride’s Kirkland parents’ home. The bride, daughter of Sherman and Mrs Duggan of Kirkland, teaches kindergarten. the groom, son of James and Mrs Parker of Centralia, is a first-year local schoolteacher. They will reside in the Sheppard apartments Garden Tracts after a shortYakima trip.
A deep test well in the Rattlesnake gas fields shows over 1000 feet drilled in the past year with more than 300 feet added in the last 90 days. The company reports drilling now at 3400 feet and notes oil separation observed in samples from 3150 to 3155 feet.

Police report Charles M. Minister Charles W. Walker and Richard Reinfleish were arrested in Los Angeles and held for Benton County. They allegedly forged and cashed Kennewick checks for 15 to 22 dollars while soliciting photographic work. Sheriff A. M. Richter said a trip to California may be arranged to bring them back.
Former residents visited Mr. and Mrs. Everett Sherk of Aberdeen and traveled to Kennewick for Christmas weekend at their mother Mrs. G. W. Sherk's home. They returned Sunday except Miss Phoebe who stays with her uncle in Walla Walla.
Mr and Mrs Walter Darden and daughters Betty and Ilene of Lacrosse were Christmas weekend guests at the W J Skinner home. Betty remained and will rejoin the Skinner family Friday for a visit at the Darden home over the coming week.
Portland's Miss Eleanor Allen and Olympia's Charles Brogunier announce their engagement. Both are former Kennewick residents and plan a future wedding in the near term.
