David Franklin Lewis died December 26 at Pasco hospital at age 80 from injuries after a fall on icy sidewalks. Born October 16 1865 in Ravenswood West Virginia he lived in Kennewick since 1926 with time in Highlands before moving to Kentry. Funeral 2 30 at Mueller Chapel with Rev Luvans officiating. Survived by nine children including Augusta Abey Waitsburg Louise Smith Pasco Elmer Lewis Rae Island Jennie Hansen Spokane 11 grandchildren and one sister in Spokane.
H. C. Hill known as Bill Hill died Thursday noon from a sudden heart attack. Born March 10, 1895, he moved to the area earlier in life and was active locally. He is survived by his wife Mary and other family members.

The Hunt family hosted a Christmas party at Park View Homes Recreation Hall with four members returning for a gala. Santa Claus distributed gifts as guests enjoyed a large feast, games, and dancing around a long 60 foot table. Outside guests attended the event.
Mr and Mrs E S Dorothy hosted a Sans Sunday evening gathering for the Porcoynel office shaft of the Union Pacific railroad and families.

Florence Sutton 4-H Club winner receives the Carl Gray scholarship worth 100 dollars for educational use at the State College of Washington. Bonita Carlton of Kennewick named as alternate. she is a senior planning college next fall.
July 30 1945 obituary notes Norris born February 15 1920 in Prosser later moved to Kennewick in 1932. He attended local schools and graduated with his family in May and left on June 2. Mrs. Gary and a host of relatives including an older brother were mentioned in the notice.
Mayor C. Pratt reviews a year of work in Kennewick since taking office January 1, 1945. Projects include sewer upgrades, island bypass removal, street repairs and seal coating, new fire station siren and chief, parking meters, and a bus depot. At the county convention in Kennewick on November 20 Thompson of Kennewick was elected to head the county AAA committee. Walter Jacobs of Benton City was named vice chairman, Rolla Fink of Kennewick was chosen as regular member, with F. E. serving as alternate. The meeting discussed 1946 conservation practices and a hoped increase in county allocation over 1945.
The Married Couples Dancing club reschedules its next event for Monday night January 7. The New Year’s Eve affair was canceled due to difficulty securing an orchestra and numerous conflicting engagements.
