The Western Lumbermen’s association in Spokane published photos and plans of five buildings, three of which are in or near Kennewick. The two bungalows match homes of H. R. Love and Ben Bergen, and the dairy barn mirrors Harry Abbott’s ranch barn between Kennewick and Richland. Plans came from a $10,000 plan book via Tum-A-Lum Lumber, with shipments routed through Kennewick to Lewiston. Due to funding needs, Dr. Prior leads a campaign to relocate the show to North Yakima as Kennewick cannot yet host it.

City schools begin noon soup program for country pupils
The new domestic science department lunch service started this month offering hot drinks or nourishing soup to rural pupils. It has proved satisfactory and financially self-supporting. After holidays noon meals will expand to about eighty students at 3 cents per meal payable weekly in advance.
Engineers Work On Road Plans For Kennewick-Finley Route
The Kennewick Commercial Club good roads committee will urge new specifications for the Kennewick Finley state highway at the county commissioners meeting on January 4. The committee has advanced plans and will have engineers C. D. Walter and T. J. Wright prepare the specifications a month before the reconsideration date.

Have Supplies For Poor Reliaf Committee Receives Donations
Mrs H A Davenpeck chair of the relief committee of the Woman's Relief Corps and the Daughters of the American Revolution reports strong responses to aid appeals. The group has apples potatoes and clothing for men women and children ready for distribution. City plans rock pile to feed jobless amid winter hunger
City officials announce a municipal rock pile labor plan to provide meals to unemployed men who come to town hungry. Police Chief Copeland says the test will show who is truly hungry and may lead to street improvements with crushed rock by spring. Robbers Enter the Arnold Home
Burglars struck F. J. Arnold in Olmsted addition between five and nine Sunday evening stealing five dollars and over one hundred dollars in clothing and jewelry. Blood hounds traced the trail from Walla Walla as two men fled, one guarding outside while the other entered the house through a basement window. Water Users Organized to Form Highland Association
The Highland Water Users association has formed a corporation to operate pumping and canals on the Highlands. Trustees elected to Jan 2 1915 include Nichoson Wuth Ross Craver Taylor with Nichoson as president and Wuth as vice president. A vote will decide if the Northern Pacific Irrigation Company continues operation at five dollars per acre per year. The first National Bank will close Dec 26 through Jan 2 per Governor Lister holiday proclamation. Robbery trail details follow as suspects passed through Olmsted and Garden Tracts toward the NP line.
