The Metho dist church youth group reported a theft of a dozen colored lights from their outdoor nativity scene. They criticized thieves and noted the loss during a squawker club gathering, ending with a blunt exit.

A stolen plane from Cle Elum airport was flown to Kennewick on Wednesday and recovered at Touchet. The thief, a former Cle Elum employee, is held by the Walla Walla County sheriff. The plane was repainted and re id numbered. The owner and another flyer returned the aircraft.
The Senior White Christmas Ball will be held at the Highlands club house on Friday the 21st at 8 30 p m. Music by Bob Norris and his Highlands club orchestra. Program committee members are Lou Keene Jim Boldt Mary Jane Abken Terry Allen and Harold Long. In his final appearance as director Ed Neuman led the Schubert club in a Christmas Choral program at the Methodist church Sunday night. The performance featured Hallelujah Chorus Ave Maria Alleluja and favorite Christmas carols with Mrs. Frank among the audience.
Two Christmas gifts wrapped in butcher paper were found unlabelled and held at the post office. Inside the two packages were notes addressed to Herbie from Jimmy and Mary and Ruthie from Jimmie and Mary. The postmaster seeks the rightful recipients or senders to ensure delivery before Christmas.

William Lewis is found dead in the roadway near the Church Grape Juice plant at 1:00 this morning. Prosecuting Attorney Chas Powell notes a knife wound in the chest as the cause and that police are investigating the death with night watchman Fred Higley reporting the discovery.
Fire swept the Pollyanna hotel and cafe in Kennewick early Saturday, destroying interiors and burning a refrigerator to pieces. A blaze also struck the Standard and a Labor camp on Tuesday, with one tent destroyed.
