Fourth gas well confirmed at Rattlesnake field
Visitors to the Rattlesnake gas field confirm a fourth gas well is flowing. The Seattle & Inland company strikes a new well two miles southwest of the original discovery, about four miles from Walla Walla Oil Gas & Pipe Line No. 3. Drilling reached about 750 feet as a test for oil, with rapid progress. The find supports geologists’ view of a large field and justifies further gas development despite no oil yet.

Banks suspend payment on irrigation warrants
The First National and American Security Banks announced they cannot handle Columbia, Kennewick and Richland Irrigation District warrants for now.
