Mail Thief Is Nabbed By Ferrell In Kennewick Raid
Ferrell a railroad worker tracked and captured a mail thief and led officers to a Pasco Chinese dope ring. The suspect Harry Martin alias Harry Leonard confessed to thefts from mail and drug possession. Mack Wong was arrested at his Pasco home with narcotics and two loaded revolvers. Both men pled guilty and were sent to Yakima for the next court term.

Kennewick Wins Again Over Pasco To Close Season
Kennewick High School defeated Pasco 10 to 6 at Pasco to cap a season where Kennewick went five wins and one tie. Fraser kicked a placement goal and a field goal for Kennewick while Pasco scored on a third quarter drive but failed on several late threats.

Pacific Power & Light president Guy W. Talbot announced a major project to connect the Dalles White Salmon Hood River system with the Yakima Walla Walla grid. A 66 000 volt line from Kennewick to Pendleton will start the program, followed by a Columbia River connection to The Dalles and a large Deschutes River plant. The six to ten million dollar plan aims to unify the Pacific Coast systems from Spokane to Yuma, enabling huge energy savings. Miss Alice Corfman and William Perry Soth married Saturday evening December 2 at 8. The ceremony at the bride’s parents home was conducted by Rev. John A. Shaw. Attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Carnahan. A wedding supper followed and the couple left for a honeymoon to Seattle. Both are Kennewick high school graduates with ties to the city.
