Former County Engineer Dies After Operation

K. C. Bowers died in Yakima Sunday morning after a brief illness following an operation. While camping he fell and injured himself, a weakness afterward linked to his death. He lived in Kennewick for years and was Benton county engineer. from 1914 he served as Yakima county chief deputy engineer.

The local Women's Auxiliary to the American Legion organized last Friday with officers elected: President Mrs. Albert Haas Vice President Mrs. Leon F Lemon Secretary Mrs. Howard Lincoln Treasurer Mrs. James Howard and an executive committee including Mrs. E M Sly and Mrs. L W Soth. Nearly 50 women became charter members after a meeting of the local Legion post.
