The plan covers primary and secondary roads with an estimated 15 million dollars investment and aims to self fund via gas tax revenues. Next Kennewick meeting set for September 14 to discuss routing and rail highway air and water connections.
Postmaster Roger Records announced that several major airlines have proposed feeder airline service for Kennewick. The post office is studying the offers and aims to establish the service soon with air mail rates for foreign mail and 8c for intra US mail.
Benton County commissioners appointed Orris Hamilton to finish the unexpired term as prosecuting attorney after Charles L. Powell’s resignation. Hamilton, a Prosser attorney and unopposed primary nominee, will assume office as Owell’s resignation becomes effective September 1.
