Fifteen Benton county 4 H club members with four leaders and County Agent Walter Click returned from Clear Lake 4 H district camp at Yakima after three days of classes in First Aid care of farm tools food preservation handcraft and nature study. They enjoyed swimming and boating while there. Mrs Gladys K Bolon assistant agent in home economics stayed over and helped with the second group at camp returning on Monday.

Combined War Fund and Chest Drives Plan Set

S South Pacific airman Robert S Bowers son of Mr and Mrs H H Bowers Kennewick has returned from a 10 day rest in Australia. He serves as a radio operator in a 13th AAF B 24 Liberator from an advanced base in the Southwest Pacific. Since Sept 1943 he has completed 48 raids on Japanese bases at Rabaul Truk and Yap Island and is credited with the sure destruction of one Zero and the probable destruction of two others.

Progress Rapidly On Widening of Richland Hiway
