Salt Lake Boosters Meet in Kemmerer Amid Blizzard
A Salt Lake Commercial Club delegation arrived by special train in Kemmerer and, despite a blizzard, was greeted by a large crowd led by the Kemmerer band. Mayor Folger chaired, speakers included Joy H. Johnson, KE Culberson, and P. L. Queenly. The visit highlighted intermountain business ties and extended an invitation to Salt Lake during the irrigation congress. The program was partly canceled due to weather, but the boosters enjoyed a cordial reception and mingled with locals.

Miner electrocuted as storm cuts power line tragedy at Frontier list
A Friday evening accident near Frontier list left one dead and two severely injured. A downed electric wire from Mike Tino’s house, during a storm, shocked John Kovich who tried to move it with a stick. Jake Tomsky and Mrs Kovich were also burned while aiding Kovich. They were rushed to Rock Springs hospital. Kovich, about 24, is expected to survive. the others suffered severe burns. Kovich’s funeral was at the Catholic church with many friends attending before burial.

Chinese Store to Open by Ogden Merchant Soon
A Chinese store to be established by an Ogden merchant will open once the building is completed. Charley, a veteran laundryman, is set to visit Saaramento for several months and may return later. four Chinese stores are planned for the area with one in the building.

Tom Woods Killed Near Fossil Railroad Track
The body of Thomas Woolly was found near the railroad near Fossil last Saturday and brought to Kemmerer. Coroner J B Carnahan held an inquest and the jury found death by unknown causes. The examination showed a head blow near the temple with no railroad injury evident. Tom Woods, long-time sheep worker in the region, had lived in Wyoming since 1871 and was about 68. A Civil War veteran, he served in the Forty third Wisconsin infantry and drew a pension of two dollars. He had been staying on Rock Creek to tend a buck herd and came to town to collect his pension. no relatives are known.

DeFORD IS KILLED IN Big Piney shooting self defense
Big Piney hotel proprietor W G Heitz killed J W DeFord in a late Sunday incident after DeFord and two companions sought Henry Hahn. Heitz warned DeFord away, firing to frighten him when DeFord advanced. Coroner and county attorney went to the scene. Heitz surrendered, well known in southwestern Wyoming.
