Mr O Nell recently bought the Norris Griggs ranch and drove from Big Piney to Opal last Friday in about six hours with several passengers bound for court. He argues the automobile can reach Kemmerer and anticipates ranchers in the upper country will use cars during low water.
On completion of the Hoskin[e] building a rear structure will be moved to the front and the postoffice relocated into it. The new site offers greater room and a more spacious entrance for patrons. The old building will be removed prior to the move. A notice invites ranch funds for sale via the Western Irrigated Lands Company, Encampment, Wyoming.
A stylish quarterly praises Hutterler patterns for ease of sewing and refined taste. It claims an unequaled blend of latent style and simplicity and promises to settle every notion of the fall crew wardrobe.
County Commissioner J A Black of Big Piney and Road Supervisor Penman inspected the Hamefork embankment walling project to protect the road from washout and prevent heavy expense. They then visited the Glencoe gap bridge in poor condition before returning via Kemmerer and Evaneton.
In Idaho last Wednesday counties voted on saloon closures. Bear Lake Montpelier went dry about seven to one, Bannock and Pocatello followed with majorities around 1100. Under the new law counties voting against saloons may operate until December 1 to close stock and must shut permanently after that date.

A Senate irrigation committee train passed Kemmerer at 5 P M on a trip through arid regions. Senator Francie E Warren and members including Carter Vaynter Southerland Borah Chamberlain Newlands toured, with stops for water and water project briefings. Delays from Oregon floods shifted plans toward Cheyenne Casper and Wheatland, Wyoming, and Eaton Fuller missed the greeting.
Cheyenne Tribune misreported a death notice linking a Kemmerer resident Mrs Marie A Morton to a Salt Lake City suicide. The error tied two women with the same name together in a sensational story. Mrs Morton contacted the Tribune to explain the confusion.
W. W. Armstrong of Salt Lake City leads a new bank movement in Kemmerer with a 1,000,000 capitalization to form a major intermountain financial institution. Subscriptions are already secured with Col. E. A. Wall P. J. Quealy Windsor Price George Gunn and P. J. Moran among investors. Guest banking rooms are prepared in the Newhouse building.
