A letter from Mr Mondell announced he is leaving Newcastle this week for Washington to take up Congressional duties after receiving the largest majority of any man on either ticket.
Bailie B. Alexander of the Pinkerton Agency spent several days in Kemmerer last week investigating the Marie Hamilton brothel diamond robbery. State officers joined the effort, and he suggested that significant progress could result, noting the criminals escaped without a trace and warning the type of job could recur.

Vinta Flockmasters leader Joe m announces preparations for the annual meeting of the Umate County Woolgrowers in Kemmerer on Thursday December 1. He notes a lean year due to range conditions, while bands move to desert for winter except about 6,000 head wintered at the Roxeville ranch. woolgrowers hold about 600 head of the Coteweld and Atambouliet rams for sale after substantial disposals. Kinveys have reduced their flock from 28 to winter over, with about 30,000 head sold and others held.
Green River will receive a new telephone exchange to begin service this year. The city, once served by a single public line in the courthouse, now moves toward better communications for residents and businesses as interested citizens prepare for installation.
