Man Struck by Train on Extra Gang Work
Hy Trott, a laterer on extra gang No. 14, was struck by No. 6 early Sunday morning while walking toward Moyer Junction after leaving the outfit care. The engine’s signals were missed. the pilot beam knocked him off the track. He was taken to Kemmerer hospital, then Ivers sent to Salt Lake. Injuries serious but not fatal. His wife in Kavens City has been notified. Fellow workers a short distance behind heard the train and moved to safety.

Pleasant Affair: Bachelor Girls Host Halloween Ball
The Hallowe en hall by the Bachelor Girls of this city was held Saturday at Lyceum hall. About 80 couples attended a most pleasant evening with black and orange decorations, witches and cats, orange lights, and cider and wafers served throughout.
