Hird and Bullager of Big Piney traveled to Opal last week to inspect a purchased sawmill apparatus to be set above the Riley ranch on Heaver Hill. They already own a large traction engine bought last year to draw plows and now prepare to use the mill year round amid strong lumber demand in the liney and nearby areas.

Gunn Election: Citizens' Ticket Wins in Quiet Vote

Conductor Frank W. Dice Transferred from Cumberland Rated Run Change

Conductor Frank W. Dice, longtime Cumberland branch leader from Kemmerer, was moved last week to the main line passenger service to operate a new run on the O. S. L. system. Dice is ill and widely known. his wife will visit Montana and Washington before joining him later. Harry Murdock replaces Dice on the Cumberland branch, bringing his family from Montpelier to Kemmerer. the Dices plan to settle in Pocatello after a relocation.
