The spring term of the district court for Sweutwater county will convene at Green River May 4. Chix will be the most important term of court to this county for several years. There are now twenty one men in the Green River jail awaiting trial besides several out on bond. The criminal docket is exceedingly heavy. The time draws near for the Republican National convention to meet. There will be pressure to have President Roosevelt reconsider his decision not to seek another term. The sentiment in favor of the favorite candidate is forced and not popular outside a certain day, though the ablity of the man selected is not in dispute.
