Kemmerer Crowd Plans Secrecy for Funding

Last Wednesday night in response to a mayoral call a large Kemmerer group gathered at the yan te to discuss funds. A committee reported plans were being perfected to secure the necessary money when needed and secrecy surrounded the proceedings.

Prominent Lincoln County Stockman Laid to Rest

A Cheyenne message reports the death of W. Smith a pioneer cattleman of the Green River valley. Born October 7 1846 he built the Mule Shoe and 67 ranches and was among the largest owners. Survived by wife son a niece and brothers his burial from Piney to Burlington Junction Missouri is noted.

Whisky case captivates crowded county court room

Justice of the Peace Glasow presided as spectators packed the room and corridors over a whisky related case from Rupert Idaho. J H Parman arranged five cases of whisky moved to a local barber shop where alleged tampering with kerosene tops was planned. Naylin and Ollie claimed the goods, with attorney C E Melvin securing a separate trial for Naylin.
