Arson Case Held Over in Kemmerer Court
In Kemmerer a preliminary arson case against William Wilkie was continued after testimony by John Dencon and Deputy Sheriff Gadmundasa. The dispute involves plans to burn the Gabardi barn for pay and notes Wilkie’s alleged statements about previous attempts. Dencon bonded, Wilkie remanded to district court amid doubts about the evidence. Sam Palin, Kemmerer railroad foreman and fireman secretary, died tragically in a railroad accident, prompting mourning from the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen and Odd Fellows. He leaves a wife and is honored by peers in the Green River Valley.
