Pictures and display options offered at set rates. photographs can be supplied for halftones or engravings, but editorial policy remains unchanged.
State University board member from Kemmerer reports excellent condition at Wyoming University, enrollment up to 180 in summer session, and notes need for a second women’s dormitory. Commissioner Erwin plans re election. Jackson Hole bridge project progresses with private firms funding three fourths of costs and government aid.
Sheriff J A Sheffner of Natrona County reports authorities nabbed Frank Mrowo alias Frank Davis in Casper for grand larceny after he stole a horse last October and rode it into Montana to sell. An arrest followed after mail order details led to Lallarge Wyoming. Davis now jailed and mugged Sunday before his photo was sent back to Casper for ID. Chief L B Halbert visited East Lake City to confer with Dr Pfoute. he departed Wednesday and returned Friday.
A letter from Wu Wright and his family reports a summer tour in Ireland and England starting from Liverpool with plans for two weeks in London. The note mentions Empress of Ireland sinking coverage and Buck Wright’s hopes for his team to win a game this season as a distant reference to upcoming Sunday tennis.
The Pocatello Tribune notes a planned relocation of O S L Hospital operations from Salt Lake to Pocatello. The move would shift emergency care handling to the Utah City facility with the local hospital continuing as a focal business hub for the community.
New time card effective Sunday changes several routes. Nos. 8 and 22 between Pocatello and Salt Lake are discontinued. No. 11 between Minidoka and Hiles replaced by a new run carrying passengers and freight between Minidoks, Liles and L14s, to Shoehine. Branch to have weekly service instead of daily. No. 14 to arrive in Pocatelle by evening.
Donald McAllister led about 15 Republican committeemen in Diamondville to discuss campaign matters. NCL Allred chaired a credentials report and the group debated district offices, with Jo e Gudmandsen elected chairman and Star Valley slated for six ticket spots. A private sleeper carried the Morone Amusement Co. troupe from Kemmerer to Tacoma, with 21 in the group and a steel baggage car No. 1231.
Dr E Laugier and Frank Dawson were married Monday morning in Sidney Nebraska witnesses Mrs Amy Miller De Laurer and the ceremony took place at 1130 p m in the county Judge's office. The couple will travel east by auto and visit his Minneapolis parents for several weeks. The bride Mrs Miller formerly served at Rock Springs hospital and the couple will reside after August 1 at 1001 Street.
