Joy Ride Ends With Narrow Rescue At Frontier Bridge

Ray Rosenbers and Philip Buddendick drove a car to Frontier from Kemmerer after a party at the Odd Fellows hall when it slid into a water filled ditch beside the bridge over the Furk River. Buddendick was pinned beneath the wreck and rescued after hours of effort. Both youths survived without permanent injuries.

Midnight Burglary at Whiston Confectionery

John KR Whiston, owner of Whiston Confectionery, reported a burglary after opening this morning. A hallway hole into the shop was used to enter, a wax punch board with about $67 and the cash register totaling $2.50 were taken. No suspect identified but likely someone familiar with the premises.

Man Drowned Near Cokeville in Sams Creek

Melvin Hardesty, a prospector, drowned Sunday in Sams creek about 25 miles north of Cokeville. He and two companions walked in single file. Hardesty vanished behind them and was later found beneath a snow bank in the creek after a thorough search by deputies and volunteers.

Casper Company Has Holdings Here

The Corona Ol and Development Co may begin development work soon. The company holds lands in the LaBarge district. T. C. Turner, a company executive, has an office in Casper where drilling is under way. Turner visited last winter and reported favorable prospects. Mes. Joseph Smith arrived from Salt Lake City and visits Kemmerer with her sons and families.

Was it malpractice in the Diamondville case

The death of Virginite Inglese in Diamondville after childbirth prompted a coroner's inquest. Jury found unconstrained hemorrhage caused death. Experts testified Dr DiGiacomo may have been negligent though no indictment was issued. County authorities now decide on action.

Record Woo Sales Price Tops Wyoming Wool Market

Believed highest price ever paid for wool in Wyoming was paid by Salmon Brothers for Steelip to Dewey Gold Co. at 56.78 cents per pound. Other sales include Wm Julian Fossil to Carter Brown Adame Co. 56 cents and Wm Danvers Fontenelle to B Harris Wool Co. for 58 cents. Shearing progresses slowly and will likely continue into July as wool moves with clipping pace.
