Promotion Exercises Highlight District No 2 Exhibit
District No 2 held its twelfth annual exhibit and promotion exercises on Friday June 3. Sickness did not disrupt the outside Diamondville schools though smallpox measles and chickenpox prompted a three week quarantine. Seventeen pupils graduated and county superintendent presented eighth grade diplomas to a list of students. The program featured music readings and a moving address by Captain Beverley Daly of the S A. Several staff members will teach summer schools and many teachers attended professional meetings and engaged in Red Cross and fund drives.
