Lieut Chamberlain Returns From World War Service

Lieut. Chamberlain of Kemmerer returns after serving with Company H and later the 146th machine gun battalion. He sailed to France in 1917 and fought in the Argonne forest from September 1918 until the armistice, crossing the Rhine with American troops. He plans to reside in Kemmerer with his wife.

Arizona-Wyoming Oil Co Plans Fossil Field Pipeline

The Arizona Wyoming Oil Company orders a three-carload shipment of materials for Fossil field development. A large storage tank will be erected to capture oil leaking from existing wells. The field superintendent arrives tomorrow to oversee drilling of at least twelve shallow wells this summer, including one capable of drilling to 8000 feet. The company will start building a pipeline within ten days and seek to market faster production exceeding 100 barrels daily as new wells come online.

Lincoln Idaho Oil to Drill Second Well at Big Piney Field

The Lincoln Idaho Oil company will spud a second well in the Cretaceous Big Piney field within two weeks. The first producing well yields about 200 barrels daily. The field is expected to be busy through 1919 with drilling and development plans by multiple companies. Storage tanks have been ordered and shipped to meet anticipated activity.

Surveyors From State Capital Inspect Local Road

Four surveyors from the state capital arrived yesterday to assess and mark the road between Kemmerer and Bockwith to Bags. The project aims to pave the stretch soon, with officials noting economic benefits and preliminary work underway. J. G. Sloan of Montpelier visited Kemmerer on Sunday.

Marquis Seriously Ill In City Residence

Dr J R Marquis manager of the Marqospital is in serious condition at his home in this city. He had been puzzling doctors for days but began to improve after recent seasonal calls. Monday night he grew suddenly ill and was unconscious for hours. Dr Maddison of Lincoln County Miner's hospital stayed at his bedside during the night. Dr A G Bevell of Rock Springs, a close friend, arrived and aided in care alongside Dr Maddison.

Disturbed Peace Case Leads to Fines and Costs

Two men of Mexican complexion, dune G. Flores and Francisco Rue ieigues, were arrested for disturbing Sage citizens. In court Judge Glasgow fined them $10 and costs for an imaginary trip to Sonora after intoxicated actions and a violent confrontation. The injuries were treated by Dr. Maddison, and the judge imposed the sentence.
